Welcome to The Rotary Club of Lethbridge.
Request for Proposals: Community Service Projects

The Rotary Club of Lethbridge is a 125-member service club committed to service both locally and internationally. We are currently seeking appropriate projects for our Community Service funds in the 2002-2003 Rotary year. The level of funding available for these projects will depend on the success of our various fund-raising initiatives.

While the exact amount of funding is unknown, we hope to raise more than $50,000 through a new fund-raising initiative, for allocation to one or more Major Legacy Projects in the community in the coming year. The Club may also consider a multi-year commitment to an appropriate Major Legacy Project.

In addition to a Major Legacy Project, we expect to be able to continue our practice of supporting several Small Projects requiring up to $5,000.

We are pleased to invite the submission of proposals for Major Legacy Projects and Small Projects.

Proposals:

Proposals are to be clearly identified as either a "Major Legacy Proposal", or a "Small Project Proposal". Proposals should include the following information:

a. Major Legacy Projects:

  • description of the organization or group requesting funding. Explain how the organization is funded and administered. Describe the involvement of volunteers in the work of the organization
  • description of the project, e.g.

Proposals for Major Legacy Projects should not exceed 3 pages. Proposals for Major Legacy Projects will be reviewed and short-listed by a Committee. The proponents of the short-listed projects will be invited to make a presentation to the Rotary Club of Lethbridge at the meeting of August 26, with selection of the successful project(s) to be announced shortly thereafter.

    b. Small Projects of up to $5,000:

  • identify the organization or group requesting funding,
  • description of the project, e.g.

Proposals for Small Projects should not exceed 2 pages. Proposals for Small Projects will also be reviewed by a Committee, and proponents may be invited to present their proposal to the Club at a meeting later in 2002.

Funding proposals are to be submitted to:
