Written by Editor Judy Head

Vol 84, No. 7 December 3, 2001

Proposed New Members:

  • Stephanie Salonen, owner Salonen Associates - proposed by Ellie Peters
  • Tom Terril, Small Business & Agriculture Account Manager, CIBC - proposed by Marlin Konynenbelt

    Club Assembly and Elections:
Congratulations to the new executive (2002/2003)

  • President: Frank Vasil
  • Past President: David Hughes
  • President Elect: Bernie Carriere
  • Secretary: Paul Pharo
  • Treasurer: Gord Yong

    Honorary Members:
President Dave has heard from one of the newly established honorary members. They are promising (threatening?) to attend the December 10 Rotary meeting as a group. They are looking for a name for their group. We're looking forward to seeing Cy Redfern, Roy Montgomery, Duncan Rand, and Rae Pepper next week.

    Chiaki's Presentation:
Chiaki showed us slides of her country, her island, her city, her home and her family. She wants everyone to know that she loves to ski.

    Chiaki's Birthday
Today is Chiaki's 17th birthday. A rousing rendition of Happy Birthday moved her to tears. The birthday gift and card did the same. Happy Birthday, Chiaki, and many more!

    Dallas is down!
President Dave announced that the Club donated $500 to get Dallas off the roof. Congratulations to Dallas in going the extra mile to get donations of food for the food banks.
