Several upcoming celebrations:
Dragon Boat Festival:
Murray needs more paddlers for the Club's Dragon Boat. We're challenging Pincher Creek and they'll have lots of experience paddling after this rain! Contact Murray, 381-0568.
District Governor Visit:
The new District Governor, Sandy McKay, will visit our Club on Monday, September 16, 2002. He will meet with the Board at 10:30 that day and with the Club at our regular meeting at 12:15.
Program:
Sargent-at-Arms, Ed Fetting, is to be commended for his efforts in creating a fun trivia contest. Thanks for including something for the old guys, Ed. Just wait, some day that will be you!
Waterton-Glacier Peace Park Assembly:
This year the Assembly will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Kalispell at Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier, Montana, September 20 - 22, 2002. On June 10, 1932, through the efforts of Rotarians in Alberta and Montana, Glacier National Park in Montana and Waterton National Park in Alberta were united to form the Waterton-Glacier Peace Park, recognizing the peace and harmony that exists between our two countries. The Rotary Peace Park Assembly, held alternately in Canada and the United States, represents a rededication to those principles of friendship, fellowship and concern which bind us as international neighbors.
